Progress with the new upgrade

Hey GoDuo backers!
Thanks to you, we had a great weekend. Now we are getting closer to our second stretch goal! At the same time, we have been testing the possible upgrade of work range. Here is some progress we would love to share with you, which shows what GoDuo is capable of, with our new antenna and layout.
First, we tested in the office. The music was still smooth when we stepped beyond 50 feet across hallway and a few rooms.
Then we moved to open space, which is our warehouse in the back of the building. We walked across the whole warehouse and the GoDuo speakers were still playing – yes, we can hear it from that far, even in the noisy warehouse!
We do not want to conclude that this is the final, but we are glad to see what the upgrade could bring to us, and can’t wait to share with you. Exciting, right? Let’s make it happen!

2nd Stretch Goal

It’s time for the new stretch goal! During the last 2 weeks, we have raised over 300% of our initial goal, and we believe we can do it again with our hard work and your support!
The next stretch goal is $120,000. If we reach this goal when the campaign ends, we will deliver to you -
An upgrade of product
Current GoDuo speakers’ work range is 33 feet (10 meters) from device (phone, laptop, etc.) to speaker, and 33 feet (10 meters) between the two speakers. For the past 2 weeks, we have been researching on increase the range without boosting transmission power. We tested with 10 different built-in antennas and made a few prototypes, re-arranging the mechanical structure for better signal reception. The result is positive, but upgrading antenna definitely increases our product cost, and at the same time, re-structuring means investing in new molds. That is why we need to reach a higher amount of funding.
If we reach our 2nd stretch goal when the campaign ends, we will be able to increase work range to 50 feet (around 15 meters) by applying above changes. This is just based on our test results on working prototypes. Once we have completed tooling and optimized layout, the range could be even further.
A free gift
If we reach the 2nd stretch goal, to show our appreciation, we will include in your shipping box a long split-charging cable, with no cost. It is not only a spare charging cable than the original one included in package, but can give you an extended reach of 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) from your power source to each speaker, and 2 meters (6.6 feet) between the two speakers. It becomes even more convenient to charge your speakers while playing music.
An exclusive offer to our backers
Once the new stretch goal is accomplished, we would like to provide a very special offer to our Kickstarter backers – and ONLY for you! The offer is a limited-version case (made of premium PU leather) tailored for GoDuo speakers - an alternative look than the colorful outdoor mode. For the same case, we will only build as many as you order on Kickstarter, and no more.
Below are the two design options we are working on. We will land on one of them, based on feasibility and quality. The case will be on sale as an additional accessory. Its price is not finalized yet since we are still evaluating our cost. Details will be updated very soon.

First Stretch Goal Accomplished!

Hey GoDuo Backers!
I hope everyone had a great weekend. Thanks for your wonderful support, we successfully accomplished our first Stretch Goal of $50,000, and one step away from 400% now! As mentioned in our previous update, to show our appreciation, for each set of GoDuo speakers you order, we will include in the shipping box a set of nice sports earphone (retail price $29 USD). This works for both existing and new backers. Let us know your choice of color at the end of the campaign.
At the same time, we are discussing internally about the second stretch goal. We want it to be realistic as a number we can strive for, and practical so production and shipping won’t be delayed. Anyway, it will be revealed in the next update by this week.

It’s been a wonderful week. We are an inch away from our first stretch goal. Great job!
How to Buy Extra Cover
Many backers asked us if we can open up the option for them to buy extra carrying covers in different colors. Yes, you can now! We are offering one extra cover for $8, and two for $14, with no additional shipping cost when they are purchased together with GoDuo speakers.
Since Kickstarter does not allow multiple pledges, please follow below instructions to add additional covers.
1. login your Kickstarter account.
2. Find our project in “backed projects”, click in.
3. At “current reward” which you have already pledged, change “PLEDGE AMOUNT” and add additional cover cost to the original pledge amount. For example, if you pledged Early Bird and want to add one extra cover, please change the pledge amount from $79 to $87.
4. If new backers want to add extra cover to pledge, after selecting reward, simply change the pledge amount by adding in the cover cost before hit "continue".
Note:
a. Currently we have three cover colors: black, red, and gray. You do not need to choose the colors now – let us know at the end of the campaign.
b. Please do not pledge for cover only – we do not ship individual covers without speakers, since the shipping cost is much higher than the cover itself.
Status of Product
We are working on a test production (pilot run) to find out if there is any potential issue in manufacturing process, in order to make sure the final mass production will be perfect. After successful pilot run, mass production will start for the first batch of orders. I personally will be in factory on production line to make sure everything goes well, and the speakers which you will receive are in excellent quality.
