$142,049 raised and 1,492 backers! It’s a great honor to be supported by all of you!
Now it’s time for the next steps:
Kickstarter will take up to 2 weeks to process payments. After that, we will send a survey to the successful pledged backers to provide shipping information, and select colors.
We already started procurement for mass production materials. We will produce the speakers firstly. Once we have received your survey results, carrying case and packages will be produced based on the quantities from survey report. With another week or so, we can finish assembly and packing. So, we are targeting to start shipping in the 3rd or 4th week of July – it’s based on that your payment is processed successfully and we receive your completed survey in time.
We received many messages today from the backers who missed deadline, asking where to order now. Our project is live now Indiegogo InDemand, and you can pre-order from there. But since Indiegogo charges higher rate for InDemand, we have to raise our dollar amount for every perk.
We will keep weekly update letting you know our project progress and production status. Meanwhile please feel free to message us if you have any questions. We’ll do our best to build the perfect products and send them to you in time.

Good News – Battery Upgrade!

Hey everyone!
We are very excited about the good news from our engineering team – and we hope you are, too -
For the Kickstarter orders, we will upgrade the battery to 20% more capacity! You don’t have to pay extra for it! And it won’t delay shipping!
Our engineering team just verified that the new battery both passed our liability testing and received 3rd party safety certifications. And it is confirmed to fit in our product.
We have been already working on this battery option since a month ago. But we wouldn’t confirm to use it until we feel confident with the testing results. And we just made sure we have prompt supply to ensure that our shipping time is not impacted.
Now our engineering team are working on performance testing with different music, at different volume, for multiple cycles. From what we’ve seen so far, the battery life is notably extended! We will have a comprehensive result on battery life in a few days. You will be updated.
As a THANK YOU to all the backers, we will cover the cost increase. You don’t need to do anything - just enjoy a better product!

Dear GoDuo backers,
I want to use this update to answer some questions which we were asked most frequently. On the last day of our campaign, I feel it’s more important for our backers to feel comfortable and confident about our product, than trying to make more sales and leaving you with many questions. These questions might not cover yours, so please do not hesitate to send us a message and ask. On the last day I will personally reply every message.
1. Is the carrying cover included in the package?
- Yes. Every set of GoDuo comes with a silicone carrying case. You do not need to pay extra to have it, but if you want more colors, you can buy additional cover(s).
2. How can I get an extra set of speakers?
- It depends on which pledge level you are at:
For anyone who already pledged for one set, if you want to add a set, you need to change your pledge to the TWO PACK reward ($169). We understood the discount rate is slightly lower, but we must keep our reward level less complicated so all the orders will be automatically manageable and error-free. When you pledge $169, as a benefit, we offer a free carrying case with your color choice. Of course, this is for the backers who need 2 sets. We don’t try to upsell you an unnecessary set if you don’t want it.
For backers who already pledged TWO-PACK ($169), you will receive a free case. If you want to add one set to make it three, just increase your pledge amount by adding $79. We will keep your shipping cost the same.
For backer who pledged FOUR PACK ($319), you also have a free case. If you want to add one set to make it five, just increase your pledge amount by adding $79. We will keep your shipping cost the same.
3. How many extended charging cables will I receive if I pledge for multiple sets of speakers?
- For EACH set of GoDuo, you will receive one set of earphone and a long (2.5 meters) charging cable as our stretch goal gifts.
4. Will there be more color options of the carrying case?
- Our base colors (for in-box case) are still the three options: black, red, and gray. You need to choose one base color for the speaker set. For additional cover (either free or paid), we might add one or two extra color options other than the three base colors. You will be able to choose from the base colors or the extra color options for the additional cover(s). The optional color option will be available in our survey after the campaign ends. We have not finalized it yet.
5. Do GoDuo speakers play real stereo (separate channels) with Mac OS and iOS?
- Absolutely! Our GoDuo speakers support MacBook/MacBook Air/MacBook Pro and iPhone/iPod/iPad very well. We tested them with all these devices. Besides, GoDuo supports Siri – it’s a strong advantage over many other Bluetooth speakers. Of course, GoDuo speakers are perfectly compatible with Windows and Android, too.
6. Will GoDuo be available on InDemand program after the Kickstarter campaign?
- We plan to move GoDuo to Indiegogo InDemand after this campaign and some other sales channels. But the price will definitely be higher for each perk, with no giveaway gifts. The shipping date for Indiegogo Indemand will also be 1-2 months later than the Kickstarter shipping. The Kickstarter rewards will be the best prices we ever offer, for all one-pack, 2-pack, 4-pack, and 10-pack. We want to make sure you are aware of this – although we can make more profit if you buy in a later time.

$120,000 - We Met Our 2nd Stretch Goal!

Hey everyone!
We passed the stretch goal line of $120k! Thank you all for the great support!
For range upgrade - although we have 3 days left, we will start immediately the new tooling and begin procuring upgrade parts for mass production.
For longer split charging cable – you can bet you’ll have it!
Regarding the PU leather case – we made four samples during the past week. Unfortunately, we are not satisfied with any of them. Since the speakers are not in regular shape, it is hard to form PU sheet into the same shape neatly, especially at the round part. We do not want to sell any accessory which cannot add value to our product, and we definitely do not want to delay our shipping schedule for it. As a result, we have to call it off.
These few days we are often asked about the possibility of using 2 sets of GoDuo together. Yesterday we recorded a simple demo video and uploaded it to YouTube. Hopefully it answers your questions. As quite a few backers pledged multiple sets of speakers, in spite of our tight margin, we are discussing internally to give you some more benefit as we can, as reward to the multiple support. Please pay attention to our message or update about it in the next two days.

Hi GoDuo backers,
The big week is coming! First, I want to share with you some photos of our first package prototype (the red color version). The actual sample looks even better than in picture.
And I want to update on some interesting finding about GoDuo. We were often asked if two sets of GoDuo (4 speaker units total) can work together playing the same music. The answer is yes – there are two ways to make it work: use audio split cable (Y cable) or use Bluetooth 5.0 (or up) device.
The split cable way is straight and simple, and has been verified for a long time. For the past few days, we have tested GoDuo with Samsung S8 which is the first handset equipped with Bluetooth 5.0. Once “dual audio” is enabled on S8, you can connect two sets of GoDuo at the same time, and play the same music on both – just that simple.
What else can be do with this cool feature, besides making sound louder? As some backers suggested, we placed the four speaker units in the four corners of the room. It worked and the stereo sounds great. However, when you mix the four speakers and place them too close (like next to each other), you may notice signal interference between the two pairs due to the nature of wireless.
With no doubt, the major purpose of Bluetooth 5’s multi-device feature is sharing music. It makes possible to sync music in multiple rooms via Bluetooth. To share and control music in a party becomes so convenient, too. You may understand better now why we would like the work range increase to be our new stretch goal upgrade - not only to use with current phones at a greater distance, but also to make this great feature in new phones more practical.
But I must say, S8’s dual-audio feature is not perfect yet. When using them together for a while, you may notice a slight delay between the two pairs. If you search online, you will find it is a very common issue for S8/S8+. Maybe with S8’s future updates, or in the future phones, it can be improved. The new iPhone is supposed to have Bluetooth 5.0 – we’ll see.
